Guess what this is...

I thought it might be fun to play a game called "Guess what this is". I'm willing to bet you have no idea what this is or what it's used for.
Ready? Okay, guess what is in the picture below.

Not sure what they are? I'll give you a hint.

They contain a liquid called castoreum.

Still don't know? Okay, a few more hints....

The castoreum is used to give some foods a vanilla (or raspberry) flavor and is often used in vanilla ice cream.

It is also used in some perfumes and cigarettes.

Give up?

They are the dried perineal glands of the beaver. They contain the castoreum which is used as a food additive and is usually listed as 'natural flavoring' in the ingredient list.
