Antioch College offering a free education

Antioch College in Yellow Spring, Ohio, is waiving the tuition for all its students, who enroll in the next three years.
Currently, a year at Antioch is $26,500, and those who apply and qualify for financial aid, may get free or discounted room and board (currently $8,628) as well.
Antioch's admission deadline is Feb. 15, so if you're a high school senior, there is still time to apply.

BurdaStyle is offering some very cool copyright-free, downloadable patterns. They offer a large selection of things from skirts and jackets to hats and handbags. There are also fun how-to videos, showing sewing techniques, making novelty items, fleece hats, stuffed toys, fabric flowers and more.

Free Nook Books Friday

Every Friday, Barnes and Noble is offering a different Nook Book for free. This week they are offering three of them: Fatal Judgement by Irene Hannon, Too Close to Home by Lynette Eason and Invisible by Lorena McCourtney.

Previous books offered include: Gap Creek by Robert Morgan (an Oprah book club selection), Summer of Fire by Linda Jacobs, Bright Young Things by Anna Godbersen and the Agatha Christie classic, The Murder at the Vicarage.

If you don't have a Nook, there are a number of apps available to enable reading the books on other devices. You can see what apps are available here:
