Best Visual Illusion of the Year

Every year the NCS (Neural Correlate Society) runs a Best Visual Illusion contest. The picture above was the 2007 winner. Both towers are exactly the same, although the one on the right looks like it's leaning further to the right.

It is a ball that moves down the page. When you look directly at it, it appears to fall straight down. If you look at it from the a fixation point off to the side, it looks like it is falling at an angle.
Below is the 2009 3rd place winner. Both faces are of the same person. One picture had the contrast increased while the other one had it decreased. That one simple change makes them appear as if one is female and one is male.
This 2005 finalist looks like it's waving because of the way the colors interact.
